Commander One PRO: FTP & Cloud App Reviews

57 Customer Reviews:

I’ve been using Command One Pro since it’s version 1.0 and it has replaced Finder for me in almost every aspect. And with every release the app is getting faster and great features are added. As it is, Commander One is already the best file manager for the Mac and given the release cadence, I can see an even better future for it going forward.

Quite crappy but can mount dropbox

Mounting dropbox is really the only thing that makes it worth the 2$ from the two dollar tuesday

Best dual panel commander on mac for people who use total commander on windows. I tried more than 10 different commanders and this one the best for me.

Haven’t used the app long enough to say something about the actual features… But one thing I learned over the years is: Either a software is good and made with love and dedication (which includes the details as well) or it’s not. The first impression was pretty disappointing and seemed to reveal the attitude almost instantly. - German translations are a joke! I couldn’t even guess what some things are supposed to say. At least make the ui language selectable please, if you don’t want to put any effort in internationalization. - In the menu view, the option for the tool bar has no tick to indicate whether it’s activated or not, while all the other view options have that - You don’t know which color sheme you use, cause the drop-down always says Select color sheme - No support for labels/tags of os x - The list view with some column for the file/item information provide an astonishing 4 attributes to choose from. Actually only 3, cause I couldn’t really figure out where there difference between file extension and file type is (if you think png’s/jpg’s/… are all recognized as file typ image while they have different file extensions… nope). Way more useful would have been more than 1 date column to choose from!! (Date means the edit date by the way) - …

Commander One Pro

For me the best 2-Window-Commander in Appstore

I have tried several file managers and this one so far is the best regarding capability to price ratio. It’s especially good for me as a developer, since it offers shortcuts to copy a file/folder’s path with one click. Another great bonus is the responsiveness of the developer team. I had one small question that I could place directly from within the app. I didn’t even wait 24h hours until I got a custom response! Keep up the great work!

I love this extension for my MAC. It simplifies my daily business and therefore it is worth to use it. There are some minor things I would like to have a little bit different, but that´s fine. Best is the fast support. Usually you get an answer within 24h.

Commander One PRO is a promising app. I like the dual-pane layout, I like the support for zips and other archives, like that I can link my Dropbox so I can browse folders that I don’t sync to my Mac, and I like that I can toggle invisible files on/off. Unfortunately, not every feature works as well as it could, and some important features are missing from this initial version. I can’t quick look or extract files from password-protected zip archives (for whatever reason, Commander One PRO doesn’t prompt me for the password), I can’t tell invisible files from regular files as they look the same (a lighter gray font for invisible files would be a good idea), and I can’t reorder the list of favourite folders. Plus there’s no support at all for iCloud Drive. All-in-all, though, it’s a good start, and hopefully the dev will improve and add these features in future versions.

I gave this app a fair shot, but have to go back to the Finder for so many things. Hopefully it will have more capabilities added and I can try it again some day.

Ive just started using it a couple weeks ago and from what I can see I like it, its great. For a real honest opinion I would have to use it for at least 6 months. Yet my first impressions are good. One comment I can say is that this software reminds me a lot of Norton Commander file maneger that ran on Windows.

I’m always looking for a good file management tool and I think Eltima has got it right with this app (I also bought their Eltima Player which has become my replacement for QT and several other tools). Clean, fast interface and I have yet to crash it. The developers are very responsive to any questions you may have too. Highly recommended.

Commander One Pro is a good option for hwo is used to Total Commander. I like the User Interface: simple and effective and light, as any tool should be. Support is also very good, I had a very fast response.

Warning

This version 1.0 is quite different from the one on their web 1.1. I’m looking forward to the upgrade.

ftp

Worst FTP client I ever used!

szabla7 v1.2 · 10 years ago

I have purchased full version only for FTP purposes and I am very dissapointed, I have run in the same time on same computer two file commanders and ftp download in virtual box (total commander on windows 10) and in the same time on my macos in One Commander , total commander finished within few minutes and one commander still copying … one file I mean really small few kb file is copied 2-4 seconds. Same server, same computer but two different environments 1. MacosX - oracle virtualbox (Total Commander win app) 2. MacosX - One Commander So I have asked for refund but they have ignored me, it was wasted money for me. This file commander is not prepared to use as an FTP client. Windows Total Commander is still the best.

Commander One is all-in-one solution with most important features for perfect Mac file management. An easy toggle for revealing hidden files and lot of other cool options.

Almost good

Please, add manual language select. Auto-language is Russian, but I would like to switch to English.

One word: Awesome. Apple OS X Finder could take lessons from this. Works like a charm. In addition to OS X, I have Windows 10 installed using Startup Disk, and Commander has no problem seeing, accessing, or opening those files. FTP works perfectly connecting to web server as well as my Microsoft One Drive account. I am using a MacBook.
