Already great with potential to improve
I have tried pretty much every filemanager inside and outside the App Store, and also spent quite some money on it. All have their strengths and weaknesses, and I never could get used to one like I got used to Altap Salamander on Windows (awesome filemanager due to high extreme attention to details to optimize every interaction and process). Commander One (Pro) is clearly the best so far: Good feature set to begin with, mostly intutive UI (except for the issue with file selection vs. drag and drop action that others pointed out).
It has also seen some good improvements with 1.5. I really hope this sticks around and will be actively developed. To support this, I purchased the PRO version even though I don’t really need any of the added features. The standard version is pretty good - does not feel crippled at all, does not annoy with sales messages - much appreciated.
I second every single improvement suggestion that erkage made hier in his review - these are all extremely good points (incl. the reference to the speed of files - soon to be Nimble Commander). Would also like to see Box.com supported in the connections.
Hope to see some of these pretty soon, and these fixes/improvements would make it 5* for me.
